If you need emergency contraception, time matters. Walk into Acme Drug Mart any time we are open: Monday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointment. No questions you do not want to answer. Our pharmacist will help you choose the right option, and you walk out with what you need.
Available over the counter. Most effective when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, but can be used up to 5 days after. Works best the sooner you take it. Costs about $40.
Prescription only. Our pharmacist can prescribe it for you on the spot. More effective than Plan B, especially between days 3 and 5 after unprotected sex, and works better for people with a higher BMI. Costs about $50.
The most effective form of emergency contraception, more than 99% effective when inserted within 5 days. It also gives you up to 10 years of ongoing birth control. We dispense the IUD and can refer you for same-week insertion at the clinics in our building.
